Five Simple Steps to a Healthy Teeth

Teeth and Personality

Ignoring the problems of our teeth can have a great impact on our personality. It is not just your teeth that need attention; problems with your gums can cause just as much damage in your mouth. Neglected teeth decay, fall out and have to be replaced by false ones. The gums can suffer too if you do not clean your teeth properly.

Regular Visit to Dentists

Get into the habit of visiting your dentist for a check-up every six months. Your dentist will be able to spot any possible problems at an early stage and prevent them becoming painful or serious.

Proper Brushing of Teeth

Any particles of food left on your teeth will encourage bacteria. A thin film of food particles and bacteria called plaque can soon cover your teeth and start the process of tooth decay. Brushing your teeth helps clean away plaque. Brush all those surfaces of your teeth; the back, front and biting surfaces. Brush downwards on the upper teeth and upwards on the lower teeth. Use small, circular movements on the biting surfaces. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles and a small head which can reach into the corners of your mouth and which would not be too hard on your gums.
The gums can suffer too if you do not clean your teeth properly. Healthy gums are pink and moist. If your gums look red and swollen, it means you should be extra careful to clean the areas where your gums meet your teeth.
Use of Dental Floss
Dental floss is a special thread which you pull through the gaps between your teeth. This removes any food particles which may be stuck there. To floss, wrap a length of floss about 40 centimeters long around each middle finger. Guide the floss between two teeth and pull it up and down, cleaning the sides of both teeth and the areas around the gum line.

Fluoride Toothpaste

Use toothpaste with added fluoride. Fluoride is a chemical which protects teeth. It hardens the enamel. Make sure you use toothpaste with fluoride added. Mouthwash is a mild antiseptic that you rinse around your mouth and spit out. Using mouthwash is refreshing, but the effect does not last long, and it cannot cure bad breath or clean your teeth the lazy way.

Calcium Rich Diet

A healthy diet is as important to your teeth as cleaning them. Your teeth need mineral called calcium to harden and protect them. Calcium is found in meat, fish, milk and cheese, so make sure you eat a good selection of these foods on a regular basis. Sugar is the greatest enemy of your teeth. It combines with the bacteria in your mouth to produce plaque.

Natures simple remedy for cough and cold problems

Natures own remedies for cough and cold problem. Aside from medicines chemically created in a laboratory, nature has provided us with plants to use as food and medicines. With proper diagnosis and the proper prescription of the appropriate plant and plant preparation, your body will recover from diseases, such as coughs and colds.

As per statistics, having colds is the top reason why young children like you get absent from school and visit the doctor. If you don’t have the energy to even get out of bed and you can’t properly breathe, you definitely have colds. A cold is an infection in the upper respiratory system. This just means it affects the nose, throat, and ears. A cold virus gets inside your body and makes you sick.

Fortunately, your body already has the best cure for colds, your immune system. The immune system defends your body against illnesses. Taking freshly-squeezed orange juice can help you get relief from colds. Or you ask your Mom to make at-home cold remedies. Below are two formulas that your mom can do for your cough and colds.

Here are two simple cough and cold syrup that are safe to administer not only for children but for adults as well.

1.Garlic honey cough and cold syrup. Peel garlic cloves and put into a jar. Cover with honey. Set in a warm place for two weeks or more until the garlic turns opaque. Take one teaspoon as needed. Dilute with a little water or lemon juice for children.

2.Onion cough and cold syrup. Slice onions and put into a jar. Cover it with honey and let stand overnight. Strain and take a teaspoonful 4 to 5 times daily or as needed.

How to make your children more physically active

The common problem of today’s children is how to keep their bodies physically fit. Staying long hours at the phones, tv’s, and computers keep their body in stagnant positions and thus increasing the risk of health problems.

It’s never too late for a child like you to get into physical activity. To start with, get your butt of the couch, turn off that phone, the tv, and computer, and instead, work on your studies and get some physical activities. This is the best way to spend a weekend or holidays for children and students like you. It is important so you can keep your body and mind healthy. Without physical activity, we wouldn’t fell or look good. It’s time to get right into it and see why it’s cool to be fit.

You may ask, what’s in it for me? or how cool it is? Well, these are the several things you benefit with physical activity:

1.Happy as a bee. To feel happy, try to be as active as you can be. Because being active is a most excellent way to fell happy, whether you do it on your own or with a group. If you worried a lot about school, or had a tough day at school, a fight with your friend, or just fell kind of blue or stressed out, moving your body can help you relax and feel better.

2.Breathe deep. You tend to breathe better when you are in to physical activity. This helps bring more air into your lungs, and your brain likes extra oxygen. This way, you can think better and clearer and always makes those positive decisions.

3.Less worry.
Being physically fit and stay active, it will keep you off the things that are bothering you. It will make you fell better about yourself, too.

4.Figure conscious. Growing kids tends to become overweight; therefore physical activity can also keep your weight healthy. Every time you eat food, your body does the same thing: it “eats” the nutrients in the food as fuel. These nutrients you burn in your body through physical activity give you energy. If the body is not able to use all the calories that are coming from the food, it stores them as fat. Physical activity helps keep your weight right for your height by burning up extra calories. When you are active, your body uses that extra fuel to keep you going strong.

5.Keeps your heart pumping. Physical activity also makes your heart happy. Since your heart is the hardest-working muscle in your body, you need to exercise to help it pump your blood normally through your body. Aside from these, physical activities make you stronger. As your muscles get stronger, you can do more active things for longer periods of time. And strong muscles also help protect you from injuries when you play because they give better support to your joints. Joint is where your bones meet.

6.Flexible body. Are you flexible enough to touch your toes easily without yelling “ouch”? If so, you’re pretty flexible which means you can bend and stretch your body without too much trouble. Being active will also make you flexible. But as people get older, they tend to get less flexible, so that’s why it’s important to be active when you’re a kid – to stay flexible. When you are flexible, you can play harder without having to worry about getting sprained and strained muscles. Remember, it’s very easy to find other things to do if you are flexible.

Being physically fit is important. You can eat good food but you also have to move your body to keep it strong. Many of the active game you like to play are good exercises. Swimming, running, skating, walking, bicycling, dancing, and jumping rope are all good ways to keep it. Sitting in front of a television set won’t even exercise your eyes! You need to move everyday. Take a walk to music. Pick some of your favorite music and make up some dance movement to it.

And lastly, getting into physical activity doesn’t mean you will have to work hard and force your muscles. You can actually do it with fun. Playing sports and doing exercises are enough to keep you physically fit. So, why not try it today because it’s never been too late.

Ways to stop worrying so much

A common health problem about students is all about worrying. Worries bring them into bad health when it becomes too much a burden. Some complications about worries bring you to become lonely, low grades, tense, and often times bring your health to below average. But if we know how to control the situation and our worries, things get to normal. Follow these simple tips to cope up with worries:

1. The first thing you should do is you should not worry with your worries if you know how to figure out what worried you're worried about. Think about ways to make the situation better and you should not be ashamed to ask for help. And most of the times, you know exactly what you're worried about. But other times, you might not know what's bugging you at all. In this situation, it is very important to figure it out first. The best thing to do is to ask yourself, "What is it I'm worried about?" To have example, let's say you are worried about a teacher in a particular subject. Now, let's try to figure out why you are worried about that teacher. If you give time thinking about it, you would soon discover that maybe you are just worried about the subject itself. Furthermore, so will soon figure out that, that's actually what bothering you. So what do think you should do? Try to get some help with that subject, tell your parents about it, and I'm sure they find ways to make you fell better and cope up with your problem in that subject. And when you go back to school and started doing well, you will find out that the teacher is not really someone to be worried about.

2. Think of ways to make things better is another thigh you can do. There is almost always something you can do to help you feel less worried. You might opt to just wait for that solution to come but it would not and never solve your problem. Instead of waiting like Lazy Juan, the best thing is to take action. Switch to action mode and do something about it. It may not solve your worries in a click of your finger but taking action will help you feel hopeful, and maybe feel less worried.

3. Another thing you can do is to ask yourself what really is bothering you. If your problem is your grades in school, then think of the best action to do. Figure it out. Ask yourself these questions, "Why are grades important?" "What do they mean to me?" "How do I prepare for class?" "Do I review my notes even there's not a test the next day?" "Am I doing my duties as a student?" "Am I studying enough to get good grades?" These are some of the question you might ask yourself and these questions are important. When you answer them all, it means you already figured out what's best course of action. This will surely guarantee you to solve out of your problem.

4. But when things get too complicated and you can't think of anything to do to make your particular problem better. Then, its time to ask for help. Worries can make you feel lonely and unhappy, too. When you are worried, it helps to find someone to talk to. There are a lot of people who are always ready to listen to you. You have your friends, teachers, classmates, and most importantly your parents and brothers and sisters.

5. Sometimes, you might be in a defensive mode and try to reason out, "Why should I bother? He/She can't do anything about it anyway." But the truth is, it is good to give it a shot anyway. There's nothing to loss about telling your worries to someone. Expressing your worries and problems to other people will help you fell better. That way, you will not be alone. Even the smallest way, they for sure have something to offer or say that will help you.

And lastly, the next time you worry, figure it out, think, and find ways to make things better. Asking for help if needed to will help you solve your worries. As the saying goes "Don't worry, be happy".
